Welcome to the June 2025 edition of our e-Newsletter!
I’m honoured to share that the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) has officially confirmed my re-election as your Federal Member of Parliament for Fowler. Thank you for putting your trust in me once again — I remain committed to being a strong, independent voice for our community in Parliament.
I’m also excited to announce that Expressions of Interest have reopened for our Fowler Youth Advisory Committee (FYAC). If you’re aged 16 to 25 and want to help shape policies that impact young people in Western Sydney, fill out the form before 5pm on 11 June. This is a chance for you — or a young person in your life — to provide real insights on the issues most important to our young generation.
Heading into this new term, I stand by the promises I made to you going into the election. I will continue fighting for:
Better health care: Ensuring Labor delivers on their funding promises, matches the NSW State Government’s $550 million commitment to redevelop Fairfield Hospital, and installs an MRI machine.
More support for small businesses: Permanently increasing the instant asset write-off to $50K.
Investment in our infrastructure: Substantial investment in our schools’ infrastructure to install air-conditioning and upgrade outdated technology in school halls.
Lower energy bills: Pushing for energy market regulation reform to lower and stabilise electricity prices.
Cheaper petrol: Call on the government to abolish the fuel excise tax.
Better public transport: Advocating for Metro rail to the Western Sydney Airport and more train and bus services.
Increased tax-free threshold: Raise the income tax-free threshold from $18,200 to keep more money in your pocket.
