Welcome to the December 2025 edition of our e-Newsletter – our final update for the year!
As we close out another big year in Parliament and across our community, I want to thank everyone in Fowler for your continued support and engagement.
This Christmas, our office is proud to host a Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal Station, part of Australia’s largest and longest-running gift appeal with the Salvation Army. Drop by my office, say hello, and place a gift in the gift donation box to help bring joy to those doing it tough this festive season.

The deadline for next year’s Community Language Schools Grant has been extended to 18 December 2025. There’s also a new program – Fluency in Asian Languages – for organisations teaching Asian languages, closing 17 December 2025. More details are in the Grants section below.
As a member of the Employment, Workplace Relations, Skills and Training Committee, I encourage you to have your say in the inquiry into the National Employment Standards. Written submissions are open until 27 February 2026.
I’m also inviting input into the Inquiry into the Value of Skilled Migration, closing 5 January 2026. Skilled migrants play a vital role in our workforce and our community, and your insights matter.
NSW has also introduced stronger protections for puppies and dogs, creating more ethical standards for breeding, selling and rehoming. Visit the NSW Government website for full details.
