The uPPP seeks to support transformative investment in urban precincts based on the principles of unifying urban places, growing economies and serving communities.

The uPPP is an always open, non-competitive funding opportunity, supporting both precinct development proposals and the delivery of construction-ready precinct projects.

• Stream One: Precinct development and planning
  • Project funding of between $500,000 to $5 million will be available for master planning, consultation, design, business cases and partnership establishment.
• Stream Two: Precinct delivery
  • Project funding of $5 million to $50 million will be available to help deliver a specified project or projects as part of a precinct. This could include enabling public infrastructure (roads, pathways, underground infrastructure), open spaces between elements, or a particular building/s that is the catalyst for, or complements, other investment within a precinct.

Provides an Advisory Service for startups and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) undertaking innovative commercialisation and/or growth projects that are within the priority areas of the Australian Government’s National Reconstruction Fund (NRF).

Five new Arts and Cultural Funding Program – Project and Multi-year funding rounds is currently open.

The Roads to Recovery (RTR) Program supports the construction and maintenance of the nation’s local road infrastructure assets, which facilitates greater accessibility and improves safety, economic and social outcomes for Australians.

Funding under the RTR Program is available to all local government areas in Australia, for projects delivered through councils, and state and territory governments in unincorporated areas, under the National Land Transport Act 2014.

$4.4 billion will be available over the five years from 2024-25 to 2028-29 under the RTR Program. From 2027-28 RTR Program funding will reach $1 billion per year and remain at that level under this ongoing program.

Organisations with a primary purpose of producing core news content will be eligible to apply for funding to support a proportion of the salary costs of journalists producing core news content that is distributed digitally.

The grant amount is $13,000 per eligible journalist full time equivalent (FTE).

Funding up to $10,000 for community groups, organisations and services for projects that foster partnerships and collaboration, build capacity, promote social inclusion and increase community participation.

A Churchill Fellowship offers Australian citizens and permanent residents a life-changing opportunity to travel overseas for four to eight weeks to learn more about a topic or issue that they are passionate about. The amount of money awarded for every Fellowship is different as it is calculated based on the number of countries visited, the duration of the approved Fellowship and an estimated airfare.

You don’t need an academic qualification to apply, in fact you don’t need to have finished school. You can do a Churchill Fellowship on any topic, provided there is a benefit to Australia and your community by you sharing your knowledge or skills.

The Investing in Women Funding Program seeks to fund innovative projects that focus on the three pillars that align with the NSW Women’s Strategy (2023 – 2026), in particular pillars two and three; Health and Wellbeing, and Participation and Empowerment.

Projects must involve high-quality activity, engagement, and participation with focus communities of Women NSW.

For the first time, funding is available for projects that roll over multiple years to support growth and sustainability. Organisations that have demonstrated a strong track record in delivery and outcomes are eligible to apply for multi-year funding.

Calling not-for-profit community heroes who are helping build better, brighter communities: the IMB Bank Community Foundation has a $700,000 pool of funding available to help make a difference.

Up to $10.88 million over five years (from December 2024) is available for up to 6 organisations to be funded for 5 years to provide collaborative, intersectional, evidence based gender expertise and strategic advice to Government to inform ongoing progress of the Strategy’s outcomes.

Organisations and consortia are encouraged to apply in the open competitive grant round to represent one or more of the following themes and/or diverse groups consistent with the priorities of the Strategy:

• Gender-based violence.
• Women’s economic equality and leadership.
• Migrant and refugee women.
• First Nations women.
• Women living in rural, regional and remote areas.
• Women with disability.

The Stronger Together Festival and Event Grants Program supports multicultural and multifaith community groups to produce Festivals and Events that celebrate and embrace NSW’s vibrant cultural diversity.

Grants range from $5,000 to a maximum of $20,000.

Funding up to $10,000 for community groups, organisations and services for projects that foster partnerships and collaboration, build capacity, promote social inclusion and increase community participation.

Provides grants up to $100,000 to foster creativity and inquiry-based learning for the development of STEM skills in students and youth in design, engineering and programming through hands-on learning.

The program offers grants of up to $10,000 for projects bringing social, road safety and environmental benefits to communities in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane near Transurban’s roads.

Grants are open to a wide range of organisations and initiatives that encourage inclusion, diversity of thought and innovation.

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is seeking to support operationally ready organisations to increase the skills, knowledge, and confidence of people with disability, their families, and carers to access and navigate disability, health, and other community services and activities. This is a one-off grant round delivered by the NDIA, providing up to $20 million per year in funding over two years, with the possibility of a one year extension.

Community-based, disability-led organisations who run existing peer support and self-advocacy programs are eligible to apply.

The program provides access to funding for community infrastructure projects such as libraries, parks, and sporting and cultural facilities in urban, suburban and peri-urban communities – projects that connect communities and enrich quality of life at a local level.

Local government entities and incorporated not-for-profit organisations can apply for grants between $500,000 and $15 million to cover up to 50 per cent of eligible project costs, with lower co-funding requirements in place for First Nations Community Controlled Organisations and low rate-based councils.

GGCIP seeks to facilitate collaboration between Australian SMEs and Singapore businesses in jointly undertaking projects that drive the decarbonisation of economic activities or help Australia or Singapore to transition to net zero emissions.

Australian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are invited to apply for grant funds that support green co-innovation projects with Singapore businesses.

The Westpac Future Leaders Scholarship is one of five scholarship programs offered by Westpac Scholars, with 17 scholarships on offer each year.

The scholarship supports individuals undertaking postgraduate study that will ultimately make a difference to Australia in one of three areas; technology and innovation, fostering Australian-Asian ties, and enabling positive social change.

With financial support ranging from $12,700 – $400,000+.

Funding is provided for the purpose to create employment pathways and opportunities for people with intellectual disability and other high support needs.

This is the second and final round under the Fund. Up to $14.7 million is available for this second round, and grants can be for up to 15 months. Most grants are anticipated to be between $50,000 and $500,000 (GST exclusive.).

Grants are available for established live music venues and contemporary music festivals that showcase Australian artists.

To apply, organisations must be majority-Australian owned.

The Solar SunShot program aims to support innovative solar PV manufacturing facilities in Australia across the solar supply chain.  

The total funding allocated for the program is up to $1 billion (total funding allocation). The amount of funding allocated for a funding round will be specified in the relevant funding announcement.  

Two funding rounds have been announced under the program, and each round has its own outcomes.

The Australian Heritage Grants program provides support for National Heritage-listed places. The program provides $5.3 million each year. Grants range from $25,000 to $400,000.

There is a call for applications each year. Places recognised for their natural, Indigenous or historic heritage values can apply.

The program aims to:

• improve recognition, conservation and preservation of National Heritage-listed places
• improve access to National Heritage-listed places
• increase community engagement and raise awareness of these places.

Grassroots volunteer involving organisations can now apply for small grants ($10,000 – $20,000) for one-off, time limited projects that support vulnerable and disadvantaged people by strengthening the organisation’s volunteer capability and capacity.

Provides individuals and organisations with up to $20,000 to support the delivery of science engagement activities during National Science Week 2025, Australia’s major national celebration of science.

Local councils, Government entities and not-for-profit organisations are eligible to apply for a fixed grant of $10,000 to deliver inclusive events on our national day. An additional $5,000 is available for events that include significant Indigenous Australian elements.

Provides funding for multicultural and multifaith community groups to deliver festivals and events that celebrate and embrace our state’s vibrant cultural diversity.

Grants range from $5,000 to a maximum of $20,000 for festivals and events held between 1 March 2025 and 31 July 2025.

The Building Women’s Careers (BWC) Program provides up to $5 million for partnerships to drive structural and cultural change and increase women’s participation and training in the construction, clean energy, advanced manufacturing and/or digital and technology industries.

The program consists of two streams:

• Stream One – a grant of between $3 million and $5 million.
• Stream Two – a grant of between $500,000 and $1 million.

The grant amount will cover up to 100% of eligible expenditure.

The SLRIP commenced on 1 July 2024 to provide funding for projects to address current and emerging priorities in road infrastructure needs. Funding of at least $200 million per year will be available under the program.

The SLRIP is an application-based merit-assessed funding program open to all state and territory governments and Local Government Authorities (LGA). Applications are accepted all year round for all focus areas with applications batched for assessment three times a year.

The SLRIP is open for applications all year round. Tranche 2 is currently open and closes on 31 January 2025.

The Multicultural NSW Safe Places for Faith Communities Grants provides funding for places of worship and other eligible places where faith communities gather regularly.

Grants between $5,000 to $250,000 are available for projects delivered by 30 June 2026.

Volunteer Grants Program supports the work of local community organisations by reducing barriers for volunteers and increasing participation in volunteering.

Grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 will be available to assist eligible not-for-profit community organisations that rely on volunteers.

The 2024–25 Volunteer Grants Opportunity is open for expressions of interest.

The Centre’s inaugural grant program is aimed at strengthening business, cultural and community connections between Australia and Southeast Asia. Applications are welcome in creative industry exchanges, cultural initiatives, and research on Southeast Asia literacy.

Funding of grants of up to $50,000 to support arts and cultural sector organisations, in collaboration with a creative industry business partner, to develop boundary-pushing projects and programs.

Applications are invited from not-for-profit small-to-medium arts and cultural organisations collaborating with a creative business to deliver an innovative idea. The broad range of partner creative industries businesses include broadcasting and digital media, design, architecture and fashion, built and physical heritage, arts education, food and beverage and technology sector.

The NSW Primary Prevention Multi-Year Partnerships (MYP) Grants Program is now open for local organisations statewide, that address the drivers of domestic, family and sexual violence in our community.

Expressions of Interest will close on Tuesday, 18 February 2025. Following the Expression of Interest, eligible organisations will be invited to submit detailed proposals for funding consideration.

The full grant application process for the MYP Grants Program will be run in early 2025.

The Youth Empowerment Program will provide funding to organisations for programs for youth aged 10 to 17 who are engaged in, or at-risk of becoming engaged in, criminal and/or anti-social behaviour.

It is expected that activities will be aimed at the participation of young people at-risk aged between 10 to 17 to reduce the incidence of low-level engagement in criminal activity and decrease recidivism rates.

The Tertiary Health Study Subsidy Program (THSSP) provides financial support to students studying an eligible health qualification.

NSW Health offers two types of subsidies. 2,000 subsidies will be awarded for each type of subsidy in 2025 and 2026.

The NSDP is a competitive grants programme and applications are open to all Men’s Sheds across Australia.

The NSDP provides direct financial assistance to address the health and wellbeing of the shed members within the shed environment; support health education for shed members, deliver appropriate activities and programmes, improve facilities and the sustainability of Men’s Sheds across Australia.
