Message from Dai

Welcome to the September 2026 edition of my e-Newsletter!

It has been a joy to be back in the community these past few weeks, meeting with local families, businesses and organisations before Parliament returns next week.

Last month in Parliament, I was especially proud to see Fowler represented at the 2026 National Youth Parliament by Van Mai, our first Youth Member of Parliament. Alongside 149 other young Australians from across the country, Van spent five days in Canberra learning how Parliament works and contributing his own ideas in the House of Representatives.

Van spoke about the importance of accessible English-language classes for migrants. Recognising that English is not simply a skill, but the key to work, independence, understanding your rights and building a future in Australia. He is a shining example of what is possible when young people from diverse and multicultural communities like ours see that Parliament belongs to them too.

Congratulations also to Cohyn, Sophie and Emily, whose speech was selected as the winning entry in the Raise Our Voice in Parliament speechwriting competition. I look forward to reading their speech in Parliament during the first sitting week of October.

Great news for our seniors! Our seniors’ kit is now available for download on my website. If you would like for a hard copy to be sent to you, you can request a copy on my website, send us an email (info@daile.com.au) or give us a call (02) 9726 3988.
