Independent MP Dai Le has called out the government’s lack of “focus” on supply when addressing Australia’s housing crisis.
Labor is hoping to push through multiple bills during parliament’s final sitting week of the year.
“We talk a lot about affordable housing or social housing but for middle Australians, there is no reprieve for them in terms of interest rates,” Ms Le told Sky News Australia.
“In addition to it, the supply chain, everything has increased; the cost of building materials as well … labour shortages.”
