Welcome to the April 2025 edition of our e-Newsletter!
What a month it has been and what a month we have ahead! The race is on, the date has now been set for the Australian federal election which means we’ll be heading to the polls on Saturday, 3 May 2025. If you haven’t already, make sure to enrol and to check your details with the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) More details on what you need to do to get yourself ready to vote below.
Since you’ve elected me in 2022, serving you as your Independent Member for Fowler has been the honour of a lifetime. I have listened to you and worked tirelessly to address the issues that matter most to our community. With our persistence and determination, fighting for a better future for Fowler, we have forced the government to act.
Together, we:
made cost-of-living relief the government’s top priority,
achieved more bulk billed services for our residents,
accomplished reduced student HECS-HELP debt,
cut income tax for low- and middle-income earners,
protected cash in the economy,
and reinstated the Stronger Communities Grant.
There is more to be done! As an independent, local voice, I always have—and always will—put our community’s interests first, free from party politics. We need cheaper petrol, lower energy costs, a raised income tax-free threshold, and more GPs for our families.
