Monthly recurring donations will end in the month of the next Federal Election.
Electoral laws require the full name, phone and address details of the person from whom the donation was received to be collected. This includes the individual making donations on behalf of organisations or groups of individuals.
Donations are tax-deductible for individual donors (not companies) up to $1,500 in a financial year. For more information on tax deductibles, please refer to your financial advisor or the Australian Taxation Office.
There are no caps on political donations to a Federal MP under Commonwealth electoral laws. However, if your donation is $16,300 or more (or exceeds $16,300 once other donations you may have made in the 2023/24 financial year are taken into account) then your name and amount of donation will need to be disclosed to the Australian Electoral Commission.
